The Mary Bottjer Charitable Trust is a small Hallow charity established in 2006 provided for from the estate of a former local lady.    

 

Although having no children of her own, Mary had a keen interest in supporting and helping with the development of young people and it is a fitting tribute that this charity in her name provides assistance to those who would benefit from support in order to progress.

In particular, it aims to further the education (including social and physical training) of young persons under the age of 18 years whose parents are residents in Hallow and who have attended an educational establishment in the area for not less than 3 years.

​

Bursaries include assistance with fees for private education in Worcestershire, travel, books, stationery, tools, equipment, clothing/outfits, accommodation, maintenance allowance, coaching, and counseling.

​

Apart from individual grants, the charity has in the past funded the provision of music tuition for all classes in Hallow School, the implementation of a maths project, and in 2021, the installation of interactive whiteboards together with a supportive computer system.

 

Applications from eligible local families would be most welcome.  All are confidential to the Trust, subject to the Data Protection Act, and considered on their merit on an individual basis.
